Trailblazers LDC's line dance classes at Holy Nativity Church, Bevendean are all about enjoying line dancing in a friendly, encouraging setting. Whether you are brand new, returning after a break or looking for more of a challenge, we aim to make every session enjoyable, supportive, inclusive and accessible.

Class times

Wednesdays
Beginners: 10:30am - 12:00pm
Improvers: 12:15pm - 1:45pm
Intermediate: 2:00pm - 3:30pm

Fridays

Improvers: 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Intermediate: 7:30pm - 9:00pm

Sundays (begins 24th May 2026)

All-levels request session: 2:00pm - 3:30pm
Optional social time while we pack away: 3:30pm - 4:00pm
Please note: no dances are taught at this session.

Which session is right for me?

Beginner is ideal for those who are completely new to line dancing, or who want to build confidence with the basics in a friendly and encouraging setting.

Improver is suitable for dancers who already know some steps and terminology and are ready to develop their skills, learn more dances and grow in confidence.

Intermediate is designed for dancers with more experience who are comfortable learning at a quicker pace and enjoy a greater challenge.

Sundays
are relaxed and informal, with an all-levels feel and a little extra time to stay for a chat afterwards.

You are welcome to come along to whichever sessions feel right for you.

Pricing

£5 per class
Same-day multi-class prices: £8 for two classes or £10 for three

Your first class is free.

Booking / payment

Booking is not required for our classes and you do not need to pay in advance - you simply pay on arrival.

We accept cash and card or contactless payments, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Getting there

Free private car park and free, permit-free on-street parking is available at the venue.

The church is served by the 48 bus (runs between Churchill Square and Bevendean School). The nearest bus stop is Bevendean School.

What to bring

Please bring a drink (water is available), comfortable clothing, suitable footwear and cash or card for payment. If you are staying for more than one session, you may also wish to bring a snack.

Good to know

Classes include clear teaching, time to practise and a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere. You do not need a partner and many people attend on their own.

You are welcome to choose whichever class feels most appropriate for you. If you are unsure, please use our Contact Us page and we will be happy to help guide you towards the session that may suit you best.

I am completely new to line dancing - which class should I come to?

Our Beginners class is the best place to start. It is designed to be a friendly, supportive introduction to line dancing, with space to learn at a comfortable pace.

Do I need to bring a partner?

No - line dancing does not require a partner, so you are very welcome to come along on your own.

Can I come on my own?

Yes, absolutely. Many dancers do. Trailblazers LDC is all about creating a warm, friendly atmosphere and we hope you will soon feel part of the community.

Do I need to book in advance?

No, you can simply come along.

What should I wear?

Please wear anything comfortable that you can move in easily, along with suitable footwear for dancing.

Can I stay after the Sunday session?

Yes - there is an optional half hour from 3:30pm to 4:00pm while we pack away, which gives you the chance to stay for a little more dancing, a chat and a relaxed end to the afternoon.

Can I bring my own drinks and snacks?

Yes, absolutely. You are very welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks.

Will there be seating?

Yes - seating is available for anyone who would like to sit down before, during or after class.

Are there any rules I need to follow?
